About the St. James' Columbarium
The Columbarium spans three levels in the bell tower, comprising approximately 4,000 vaults.
The vaults (each containing four and in some locations eight niches) will be faced with a soft
white marble and all three stories of the Columbarium will be lit in part by natural light
from a glass ceiling being built below the newly refurbished bells. Three Tiffany windows
will provide a wash of warm color and an additional Tiffany window will grace the
Columbarium's anteroom where family members or friends may take time for prayer and
meditation.
